Health Tip - Echinacea
Echinacea has long been known as the herb that boosts your over-all immune system.
Echinacea is a genus of nine species of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, all native to North America. Popularly known as the purple coneflower, it has been traditionally applied as a herbal remedy by the North American Plains Indians, who used its roots to make a poultice for a number of wounds resulting from insects and snakes and also for treating sore gums and colds. Echinacea is thought to serve as a stimulant to the body's immune system by activating white blood cells, whereby making it more difficult for foreign bodies to infect cells
