Health Tip - Joints
Many of us suffer from pain stiffness and inflammation in our joints that can affect our mobility. Chronic aches and stiffness can make even your favorite activities less enjoyable. We move because the joints allow us to do so! But what do we do to keep the joints healthy? To prevent this degeneration of our joints, it is necessary to protect them from the wearing forces they experience each day. Stay strong and keep moving with Holistix Joint Platinum Pack.
Joint Pack:
A joint or place of articulation is formed where 2 or more bones come in close contact in the body and are attached to each other by ligaments or cartilage. Most joints in the adult body are synovial joints, which are freely movable joints. In this type of joint, the ends of the opposing bones are covered with hyaline cartilage, the articular cartilage, and they are separated by a space called the joint cavity. The components of the joints are enclosed in a dense fibrous joint capsule, called an articular capsule. The outer layer of the capsule consists of the ligaments that hold the bones together. The inner layer is the synovial membrane that secretes synovial fluid into the joint cavity for lubrication.

- Glucosamine is a constituent of cartilage proteoglycans. Glucosamine is responsible for the production of key compounds that make up tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and synovial fluid and therefore promotes joint health.
- Chondroitin is a glucosaminoglycan (GAG) and serves as a substate for the production of the joint matrix and therefore promotes joint health.
- MSM is a natural source of sulfur. MSM helps to inhibit degenerative changes in joints and also has anti-inflammatory properties.
- Salmon oil is a source of the omega-3 essential fatty acids DHA and EPA. DHA and more specifically EPA have been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful for reducing joint pain and stiffness.
